Kayla , Dirigo High

Kayla had her senior session with me on Saturday morning. The weather was wonderful, not muggy and not too hot. We went to a few new spots and a few favorites of mine from a few years ago. It was a fun shoot. She is a beautiful young woman and has amazing eyes. Kayla smiles alot so getting some serious shots didn't feel like her personality. I hope she loves them.

Emily in Painter

I took one of my favorite studio images of emily, taken with window light, and hand painted it in correl Painter. The top photo is a different technique. This is a sketch rendition, it is fairly easy. The middle photo is the original, (the before photo).
I love the Painter effect. It gives a timeless look to portraits. It is very soft looking. It is a time consuming technique, so I don't get many chances during the busy season to do this. I am glad I took the time to paint this image. I think it's beautiful. I added the before photo to show the difference. Let me know what you think.

emily

Emily is a sweet girl that I have known all her life. I pierced her ears at the salon I was working at when she was about 6 months old. I have watched her grow into a beautiful young woman. We had a fantastic shoot on Saturday. She was so cute, her smile lights up a room. We had fun and went to quite a few places for a great variety. Here are a few of the many shots we took.

Trash The Dress Session

Sunday late afternoon I scheduled a Trash the Dress session for my wedding 101 class. We went to weld lake at one of the photographers beautiful camp. Her daughter Melissa
was our model. She was a great model, she was willing to go above and beyond for us. She was very patient, the bugs were fierce and it was humid. So thank you melissa.

Seven photographers, One model, a whole lot of bugs, and a beautiful lake. My vision was a soft pastel photo. I love the white on white look. I purposely had a white sky to keep that mood.

Here are some of the results.
