Eric, my new friend

Eric is an absolute joy to photograph. He warmed up to me quite quickly. He is a talker so I had to shoot quick. We had a good time and I love the shots.

Back from Professional Photographers on New England Convention

I just got back and what an event. I was there for 4 days. Learning from some of the top photographers in the country. Topics like wedding photojournalism, Art inspired portraits, creative lighting and posing, and the senior experience. It was incredible.
I will be shooting this weekend and posting some of the new ideas I have. I am Busy this week with seniors and sports photos. I will have a Yarmouth wedding to post soon.

I entered competition prints to earn merits towards my master in photography. I earned 2 more merits, I am almost half way there.

Travis The "HAPPY" Fisherman

Travis loves fishing. If he could have fished the entire time we were shooting his senior portraits, he would. He actually caught a fish after we had only been at the pond for about one minute. It was small but he was happy just the same..

Shainna

Shainna had her session on a beautiful sunny day. It was a fun shoot. She has amazing blue eyes. She liked some of the shots I took of some of her friends. I took her to a few of the same spots.

kaitlyn

Kaitlyn had her senior session last week on a beautiful sunny day. She brought her mom and her boyfriend along with her. Kaitlyn has amazing lashes and the clearest alabaster skin.
We went to a few spots that were new to both is us. It was kind of an exploration of sorts.

Natural light without any flash

After going to Steve's class I wanted to try his theory and use natural light the way I use studio light. The first set of shots are just that. Only natural light no flash or reflectors. It was a challenge but I love the shots. Marina was a perfect subject for this type of light. Her hair and skin tones are great. I will definitely use this technique more often.

playing guitar and playing in photoshop

Zack enjoys playing guitar and brought it with him. I wanted to take a shot with his guitar and have the end of the neck in focus and Zack out of focus. I shot about 5 shots and played around with them in photoshop. One of the shots I used a filter that makes photos look like the movie 300, really grainy and slightly desaturated. It was fun to play with the shots in photoshop.
