2010 senior model

Kathleen is a Dirigo 2010 Senior, she came to the studio a few days ago for a few promo shots. We plan a full shoot soon. I am going to Cap Cod Mass for a week in a few days to study with Arthur Rainville and Jennifer Hudson, who are creative photographic masters. I am so excited and can't wait to get there. It's like waiting for your birthday as a kid or Christmas! I will shoot with Kathleen when I get back so I will be energized and creatively inspired. It will be great! Check back soon, it will be worth it.

If any 2010 Seniors want to participate in the Senior Model call, just give me a call 207-562-9900 or 357-9219.

Wesley and the "Old School"

Wes was nice enough to pose for me once again. Whenever I get an idea and can't find a local model I call Wesley to see if he is home on break. Here are a few pics that I created and edited with a few new filters. I love to play with my images. This time of year I have the time to play. When High School Senior season and weddings are in full swing it is much more difficult. I hope you like them!

Daddy's little girl

Haylee is almost a month old and her birth announcements are ready. She came to the studio a few days ago for another shoot and this is what we came up with. She is a daddy's girl. She is growing so fast.

Rock N' Roll Backstage Pass

Friday the 13th I attended the Portland Museum of Arts, The Rock N'Roll Backstage pass photography exhibit. It was fantastic! I highly recommend you go see it before it's gone. Fridays are free and it was packed. If you hate crowds, friday nights are not your night. If Music is a big part of your life, if art is a passion of yours, or if photography is something you love to view, this is a great way to spend a day.

First ever arrival at the new Birthing Center at The Rumford Hospital

Kevin and Kim Jamison are the proud parents of Haylee Louella Born at 2:49 p.m. on Monday February 23rd. Weighing 7lbs 7oz and 20 1/4 inches long.
Haylee was the first birth at the new maternity facility. She will be featured in a press release and possible in the new brochures for the new birthing center.
I photographed Haylee for her parents and sent the photos to the hospital for their promotional use. Hopefully they will use my photographs.
She is an adorably precious little girl. I will be photographing her when she leaves the hospital in a few days. I am looking forward to it.

Haylee's cousin was there and was very interested in her. It was cute to see his amazement with her.

Mommy and Me

Ruby and Maya came in for a Mommy and Me shoot. It was such a great experience for all. Maya is a dream. She was such a good girl. She never cried the whole time, well she let us know when she had enough. Which is good because I would have shot all day. It was a pleasure to have a baby so enchanted by me, It doesn't happen often. I love kids and It is hard when they cry and cling to their parents when they come to the studio. I realize it's a new place, my face is unfamiliar, and they are scared. It is still hard, though. I think my feeling get hurt a bit. I didn't need the "lets get to know each other" time with Maya.
I hope Ruby and Maya had as much fun as I had. I really enjoyed Maya's beautiful personality. She lit up the room with her cute little smile.

Did you notice her cute little mowhawk.
Ruby said it is natural. I wonder if Maya will embrace it or hate it.

Finally My e-mail is fixed!

Yahoo! My e-mail is fixed. After 18 days without my fairpoint e-mail account working properly, I have 987 emails in my inbox. I really don't mind reading and deleting all those e-mails. I am just happy they are not lost forever in the cyber abyss. Most are junk but there are a few I am glad I retrieved. I would still like everyone to e-mail me at christalstudio6@gmail.com. This is my business e-mail and I like the layout better than my fairpoint account.

Engagement Session

This is the season for engagement portraits. I offer this for all my Wedding clients. This couple is the second session so far. I only have about 5 wedding dates available for the 09 season. This wedding season will be the busiest ever! I am so happy that my business is thriving and even growing despite these uncertain economic times.
Love will not let economic hardship dampen the spirit of "Happily ever after!"
Kristen and Ryan came in for their engagement portraits a few days ago. It was a chilly day but we wandered out for a few in the cold. Kristen and Ryan are a very cute couple. Their smiles are contagious. It was a fun shoot and I love their willingness to brave the weather for a few photo opts.

Fuji Masterpiece Award

Here is my Fuji Masterpiece Award. It is all glass and I am very proud to receive one of these prestigious awards. I won a Kodak Gallery Award a few years ago. Receiving both of these awards a few years apart is very rewarding as a photographer. Some never receive one of these in their career, so to receive both is an honor.

All grown up!

My friend Tabatha and her girls came in for a few portraits. I haven't seen them for a while. I was shocked. They are so grown up! Wow how times flies. My girls are so much older and don't change a lot, so to see these young girls getting so big, it's amazing how they mature into beautiful young ladies. Camry wasn't feeling so well, but she was a good sport anyway. Alyssa is a ham, as usual, and played it up for the camera. It was great seeing them again.
